Children's School of Science:

Assistant Administrator Position Opening
Seeking Applications for Summer 2010

The Children's School of Science (CSS), in Woods Hole, MA, is seeking applications for the seasonal on-site position of Assistant Administrator. CSS, founded in 1913, is one of the country's oldest privately funded summer schools devoted to the love of learning and exploration of the natural world through hands on, inquiry based classes. CSS operates for six weeks (July through second week of August); classes take advantage of the natural habitats of the surrounding ocean, woods, fields and ponds. The Assistant Administrator aids the Administrative Director in the efficient operation of CSS and supervises the course assistants in the performance of their duties. The Assistant Administrator also acts as liaison between CSS and the Development committee.

Requirements: Master's degree in Education or Counseling, or relevant experience, preferably working with children in a natural science educational setting. Hours to be decided, but afternoons and attendance at some special evening and weekend events are expected. Interested applicants should send a cover letter outlining their interest and experience, a resume, and arrange to have three letters of support (sent under separate cover) to:
