Falmouth Road Race

Run in the 2011 New Balance Falmouth Road Race
for the Children’s School of Science!

CSS is participating this summer for the second time in the Numbers for Non-Profits program that offers local non-profits the opportunity for runners in the 2011 New Balance Falmouth Road Race to gather donations for their chosen charity.

CSS has 9 numbers this summer! We need runners to step up and fundraise for the CSS team! In order to qualify for one of these race numbers the runner must agree to raise $750 (kids) or $1,000 (adults–college graduate and beyond) for Science School.  Asking friends, family and colleagues to support your training for the race is easy using the online fundraising partner of the race, FirstGiving.com.  Their website is optimized and fully loaded with fundraising tools to streamline the process and helps each fundraising runner easily track their training and fundraising.

Many of our CSS community in Woods Hole and Falmouth have a long-standing tradition of running in the Falmouth Road Race and already have a race number for this summer.  If you have a race number you can still join our extraordinary team of runners and help raise money for Science School!  It’s easy to create your own page on FirstGiving.com and keep your friends, family and colleagues posted on your race training and fundraising goals for Science School.  The more people we have running and gathering sponsors we will be able to reach our goal this summer of $12,000!

This summer, we’re going to be holding weekly practice training runs and various events (ice cream social anyone?) leading up to the race on Sunday August 14th to bring our team together and expand our fundraising reach.  Who knew you could have this much fun training for the Falmouth Road Race and at the same time show your support for Science School?
